To pick a photo taken on today's date in a past year. The app reads your photo library on your device only. It never uploads or copies your photos; your entries only remember which photo you chose.

Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Today Then, then Photos, and choose Full Access (or Limited Access and select some photos). You can also tap Open Settings on the Today screen.

Today Then shows a random older photo instead. If your library is empty you can still write a line without a photo.

Up to 3 times per day without a subscription. Subscribers can shuffle as often as they like.

You can add entries free for 30 days after you start using the app. After that, adding new entries needs a subscription ($2.99 per month or $19.99 per year). You can always view, edit, export and delete your existing entries.

Open Today Then, go to Settings → Restore Purchases (also available on the subscription screen) while signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions → Today Then, and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple manages all billing, so we can't cancel on your behalf. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.

Yes. Go to Settings → Export entries (JSON) and save the file to Files, email it to yourself or share it anywhere. Entries are stored only on your device, so exporting is the way to keep a copy. Deleting the app deletes the entries.

Go to Settings → Delete all my data. This permanently removes every entry and setting from your device. Your photos are never touched.

Turn on Settings → Remind me every day, and make sure notifications are allowed for Today Then in the iPhone Settings app. Also check that Focus modes aren't silencing the app.
